The department of Energetics and Renewable Energies of Polytech'Montpellier located in Perpignan is pretty young. Most of our first international trainees has left in the Summer of 2011 and our first outbound Erasmus semesters took place in the Fall of 2011. So far, student training periods abroad took and will take place in companies, non governmental organizations and institutions in Catalonia (Spain), Chile, China, England (UK), Germany, Ivory Coast, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Niger, Portugal, Saskatchewan (Canada), Saudi Arabia, Sweden and the United States. Erasmus outbound students took place in England (University of Cranfield) and in Sweden (Chalmers University). The department is actively seeking, setting and/or developing other Erasmus collaborations alone or in collaboration with other departments of Polytech'Montpellier.
Prospective inbound Erasmus students should know that most classes are taught in French. A few classes use slides and teaching material in English. A few lectures are given in English by a foreign professor. More international professors should be part of the educational program as we develop local Erasmus programs and a collaboration with the University of Texas at Arlington.
People interested may take a look at a short PDF presentation in English or in French. A reduced size PDF is also available for email attachment. We welcome individuals, institutions and companies abroad to contact us for trainees and other forms of collaboration.
